＊演講者簡介：
David P. Baker教授為國際教育社會學界與比較教育學界知名學者，其主要研究領域為教育社會學、學校組織之國際比較，以及教育政策分析等。目前為美國The Pennsylvania State University（賓州州立大學）社會學系及教育學院合聘之教授，同時也是賓州州立大學The Center for the Study of Higher Education的Senior Scientist（自2005年迄今），以及Population Research Institute的Research Associate（自1998年迄今）。除了賓州州立大學之教學與研究工作外，自2010年起，Baker教授也擔任The Comparative International Education Society副會長，並被選任為該會於2012年之會長一職。
